The recent change of control at Accept Software has gone largely unnoticed by many in the product management community.<\/p>\n

Several weeks ago the leadership team at Accept Software decided to sell the company to a well funded buyer (Artemis) who could make the types of investments that are needed to continuously grow their product management software business.<\/p>\n

Many people reading this will be reminded of RYMA Technologies, a competitor of Accept’s (who we wrote a previous post about), which also experienced capital challenges and was unable to right the ship in the amount of time they were granted.<\/p>\n

So this marks the second major change taking place in the product management software space this year.<\/p>\n

For our part (at Actuation Consulting) we enjoyed working with the Marketing team at Accept. They hosted several of our webinars, helped sponsor our Study of Product Team Performance<\/a>, and were excellent business partners. We hope to be able to extend our existing relationship to the new leadership team at Accept and want to wish Jon Gettinger, the former Chief Marketing Officer, the very best.<\/p>\n

Personally, I’m glad to see that Accept not only survived but has every opportunity to continue to prosper in the future. Product management software vendors are an important part of the overall product management ecosystem – so their survival matters.<\/p>\n
